J N Bentley - Anglian Water
40 km of 560 dia PE and 20 km of 400 dia PE
The pipeline was pressure tested using our high flow pumps in 5 km sections. Multiple swabbing runs were carried out on each section.
Chlorination of the 40 km 560 main was completed at 2800 ltrs/min using a 12km long slug of chlorinated water over a 5 day period of 24 hour working.
All Bacti samples passed first time.
Amey - Affinity Water
Mains refurbishement and Developer Services Contract
Excel have had multiple technicians working alongside Amey and formerly Enterprise commissioning mains on their mains refurb and Developer Services contract for a number of years.
We currently commission in the region of 150 km of pipe each year on this contract.
Our bacterialogical failure rate over the whole contract equates to one every 70km.
Morgan Sindall - Severn Trent Water
17km of 600 dia welded steel
Cross country scheme completed for Morgan Sindall. Pipeline located in Severn Trent Water Area. Pressure tested sectionally to 30 bar after each section was swabbed using swab tracking. End to end swabbing using multiple swabs and swab tracking, potable water dechlorinated prior to discharge during swabbing run. Full volume of main chlorinated to a minimum of 20 ppm then dechlorinated prior to discharge. Over 250 bacteriological samples taken over a three day period, all passed.

We underatke many smaller mains for builders, housing developments, holiday parks etc
Commissioning 10 m of 63mm PE with the same expertise and care that we treat all schemes with.
